13x Audio Colony Free Multi‑Effect Plugin – Six Cells in One Window for macOS, Windows & Linux

Overview

13x Audio has just launched Colony, a completely free multi‑effect suite that packs six distinct processing modules—called Cells—into one intuitive window. Designed for modern producers, beatmakers and engineers, Colony works on macOS, Windows and Linux, delivering everything from warm saturation to lush reverb without the need for multiple plugins.

The Six Cells & ENERGY Control

Each Cell represents a dedicated effect: 1. Saturation – analog‑style drive with selectable curves. 2. Modulation – chorus, flanger and phaser styles. 3. Reverb – algorithmic space with decay and size knobs. 4. Ducking – side‑chain style gain reduction. 5. Stereo Widening – adjustable width and mono‑mix. 6. Lo‑Fi Color – bit‑crush and sample‑rate reduction.

All Cells orbit around the central ENERGY knob. Turning ENERGY pushes every active Cell through its user‑defined range, allowing you to sculpt dynamic, evolving textures with a single macro control.

Sound Design & Workflow

Colony shines in both mixing and sound‑design contexts. Route a synth through the Saturation and Lo‑Fi Cells for gritty bass tones, or place a vocal track under Reverb, Ducking and Stereo Widening for a spacious, controlled presence. Because the plugin supports VST3, AU and AAX formats, it integrates seamlessly into Ableton Live, FL Studio, Logic Pro, Studio One and any other major DAW.

Platform Compatibility

• macOS – Intel & Apple Silicon native
• Windows – 64‑bit
• Linux – 64‑bit (AU not available)

No additional installers are required; simply download, unzip, and add the plugin folder to your DAW’s plug‑in path.
