Florian Gouëllo Free Drum Loops: 50+ Live Breaks & One-Shots (WAV) for Producers

Authentic Live Drum Performance

Los Angeles-based drummer and producer Florian Gouëllo has released a substantial free resource for music producers: a collection of more than 50 live drum loops, breaks, and one-shots. Unlike synthetic drum kits that often rely on triggered samples or synthesized hits, this pack captures the nuance, transients, and room acoustics of a real drum kit performance. For producers working in genres like hip-hop, trap, boom bap, and electronic music, the organic character of these recordings provides a foundational groove that synthetic alternatives often lack.

WAV Format & DAW Integration

The entire collection is provided in WAV format, ensuring maximum compatibility and audio fidelity across all major digital audio workstations. Whether you are using Ableton Live, FL Studio, Logic Pro, or Studio One, these files can be dragged directly into your session without the need for specialized plugin hosts or sample managers. The WAV format preserves the full dynamic range and transient detail of the original recordings, allowing for precise editing, time-stretching, and pitch-shifting without the artifacts commonly associated with compressed audio formats.

Production Workflow & Sound Design

This pack is designed to inspire immediate creative output. The inclusion of both full loops and individual one-shots allows producers to deconstruct the performance and rearrange elements to fit their specific rhythmic patterns. The breaks provide raw material for chopping and resampling, while the loops offer ready-to-use grooves that can be layered with 808s, synths, and vocals. By starting with high-quality live recordings, producers can focus on arrangement and sound design rather than spending time hunting for the right drum sound.
