Sample Roll SPCE Adaptive Sidechain Plugin: 100% Free VST/AU Deal ($0)

Adaptive Sidechain Dynamics for Modern Production

Sample Roll has released a significant freebie for the music production community: SPCE, their adaptive sidechain plugin, is currently available at no cost. Normally priced at $39, this dynamic processing tool is being offered as a free download for a limited period. This move allows producers to access professional-grade sidechain compression without any financial commitment, making it an essential addition to any 2026 DAW setup.

DSP Architecture & Adaptive Logic

SPCE distinguishes itself from traditional static sidechain compressors through its adaptive engine. Unlike standard plugins that require manual tweaking of attack and release times to match the source material, SPCE analyzes the incoming audio signal to automatically adjust its response characteristics. This adaptive behavior ensures that the sidechain effect remains tight and musical, even when the tempo or rhythmic density of the track changes. The plugin is designed to handle complex rhythmic patterns common in electronic, hip-hop, and pop production, providing a glue-like cohesion that static compression often struggles to achieve.

DAW Integration & Workflow

The plugin is available in VST, AU, and AAX formats, ensuring seamless compatibility with major digital audio workstations including Ableton Live, FL Studio, Logic Pro, and Studio One. On macOS, it supports both Intel and Apple Silicon architectures, while Windows users can expect stable performance across 64-bit systems. The interface is designed for quick adjustments, allowing producers to dial in the amount of sidechain effect and the sensitivity of the adaptive engine in real-time. This makes it ideal for both mixing sessions and live performance contexts where rapid adjustments are necessary.
