Oddment ODD-1 Microsonic Lab Ships: Hardware + ODD-1V Plugin (VST/AU/AAX) Now Available

Granular Synthesis Meets Hardware Control

Oddment has officially started shipping the ODD-1 Microsonic Lab, a dedicated desktop instrument designed for granular synthesis, sampling, and live audio processing. This release marks a significant milestone for the brand, as it is one of the few recent synthesizers to launch simultaneously in both hardware and software variants. The ODD-1 is not just a synth; it is a complete microsonic lab that allows producers to build loops, process live inputs, and manipulate audio in real-time with tactile precision.

ODD-1V: The Software Engine for DAW Integration

Alongside the hardware unit, Oddment has released ODD-1V, a plugin that brings the full power of the ODD-1 engine to Mac and Windows. This allows music producers to integrate the distinctive granular character into their DAWs, including Ableton Live, FL Studio, Logic Pro, and Studio One. The software version ensures that the complex DSP architecture of the hardware is accessible to those who prefer a mouse-and-keyboard workflow or need to layer granular textures within a larger mix.

Dual-Format Workflow for Producers

The simultaneous release of the ODD-1 hardware and ODD-1V plugin offers a unique workflow advantage. Producers can use the hardware unit for live performance and tactile sound design, then switch to the ODD-1V plugin for detailed editing and automation within their session. This dual-format approach is rare in the modern audio landscape, providing flexibility for both studio engineers and live performers who need reliable, high-quality granular processing.

Availability and Purchase

The ODD-1 Microsonic Lab and ODD-1V plugin are now available for purchase directly from Oddment. As a new release, this is an excellent time for producers looking to expand their sound design toolkit with a versatile granular instrument that bridges the gap between hardware immediacy and software flexibility.
