Scaler Detector Free Key & Chord Detection Plugin – 100% Free Until Dec 7

Overview

Scaler Detector is Scaler Music’s dedicated key and chord detection utility for macOS and Windows. Normally sold as a standalone add‑on for users without Scaler 3, the plugin now ships completely free of charge until December 7, 2026. It integrates seamlessly with any major DAW, offering instant harmonic analysis of audio or MIDI material.

Core Detection Features

• Real‑time key detection – Identify the tonal centre of a track on the fly.
• Chord extraction – Generates a full chord list (including extensions) from audio or MIDI input.
• Scale suggestions – Provides compatible scales and modes to aid melodic composition.
• MIDI export – Output detected chords as MIDI clips for immediate use in your arrangement.

Workflow Integration

Scaler Detector works as a VST3, AU, and AAX plugin, so you can drop it into Ableton Live, FL Studio, Logic Pro, Studio One, or any other host. Typical workflow: 1. Insert Scaler Detector on an audio or MIDI track. 2. Press the Detect button – the plugin analyses the incoming signal. 3. View the detected key, chord list, and suggested scales in the UI. 4. Drag the generated MIDI chord track into your project for instant harmonic support.
